Cut hole first then trim. but I see Aluminum AN960 washers with I.D. of up to 3/4" in the Aircraft Spruce Catalog. There are suppliers that have them up to 1 1/4" ID and if they aren't available as AN960 then you can also look for NAS1149. Unless you are building a seaplane, the cad plating on a steel washer should do. Aren't some of your fittings going thru your SS firewall?
