The essential question is this. Do we play conservative by keeping the higher
margins, or are we comfortable with the margins that the FAA has used for
eons? Are we confident that our wing is as strong as the Lancair test wing?

My heavy airplane was more responsive in pitch with the heavy load and with the CG, although within range, moved towards the rear.  Just a gentle oscillation until the weight was reduced.  The autopilot just couldn't find where to set the elevator.
