Do it.

You only need one incident with the gear misalligned into your wheel well to
either damage the gear door, scarf up the wheel well or both and possibly
more serious damage to the plane.

When building an $85,000 to $120,000 aircraft don't skimp on a $150 ticket
item, especially when that particular item improves safety features.
