The flight path marker, 3D terrain, horizon cues, and highway in the sky are conformal and provide maximum situational awareness. This gives the pilot VFR equivilancy in IMC conditions. You will realize how much "situational awareness" there really is once you fly behind the system. The information piped into the system is obviously driven from the AirData Computer, AHRS as well as GPS, which you probably aren't getting in your garage. You should have also seen a bank angle indicator display while rolling the AHRS past 2.8 degrees. It should then automatically declutter when you are straight/level again. If Ted elects to have D2A perform installation verification prior to first flight, all aspects of your Chelton installation will be confirmed, calibrated and tweaked for maximum performance. Call me in the meantime if you need any assistance. Take care, Kirk Hammersmith Direct-To Avionics [Just goes to show you, it pays to ask questions . Thanks again for setting the record straight. BTW, we are getting GPS inside the garage... the GNS430 has locked into as many as 8 satellites at times, and we will frequently have the "no GPS" flag on the EFIS disappear as well. Surprised the heck out of me. Looking forward to seeing you at Oshkosh. ]
