I described my episode with electrical discharge on prior communications while flying my IV-P below clouds in the Texas summer. Got hit in the wingtip along the attachment screws and melted the plexiglas covering the lights. Strong enough to dissolve the resin underneath and we followed the trajectory of the electrical discharge from the entry along the attachments into a second screw holding the plexiglas. we had to replace to screws and I am waiting for a major paint session to repair the damage. My radios did not suffer any damage and I did not hear a thing but smelled burned resin wich prompted me to return to the airport and inspect for damages. I have a full lenght aluminum tube running along the leading edge of the wing which carries all electrical conduits to the fuselage.
