Shannon, as a test pilot who's managed (and flown) some major testbed
mods and done real flutter testing, I'm a bit concerned that your baggage
door may well have interrupted some load paths and could have significantly
weakened or changed the resonant frequencies of the aft fuselage and tail.
You've probably already performed the analysis and added/stiffened structure
to compensate. If not, I highly recommend you do that and probably some
ground vibration testing to nail down the new frequencies. I'd hate to hear
of your tail coming off!
Nice looking door. Sure a lot better than loading over the back of the
seat.
