Dan,
I have no ramps inside my LNC2 cowling. Running an O-320-D1F. NACA duct on
lower left side of cowling for oil cooler inlet air. Shark fin exhaust on
top in front of the passenger (has the added advantage of blinding the
passenger during an emergency). Haven't had any problems in the pattern, of
course I haven't flown patterns at over 75 deg ambient yet. At cruise, my
oil temperature runs about 210 Deg F and CHTs run 350 to 390, depending upon
the power setting.
