Dan,
Here are a few weights and measurements for the factory
soundproofing. There are four different types.
1.Sides of fuslage 3 lbs. 40.5"x 40.75"
2. Nose gear tunnel (for the IV) 2 lbs. 17.25"x18"
3. Nose gear tunnel ( " ) 9 lbs. 17.75"x 56"
4. Firewall 16.5 lbs. 34" x 65.5"
The sound proofing for the firewall listed is not all of it because I
installed some under the floor. Whatever those dimensions are. As you can
see if a builder installed all of the foam you'd have a pretty nose heavy
airplane. Hope this helps.

By the way, have you weighed your insulation and do you know approximately
what the square footage is? It would be helpful to know what is there now
and what kind of weight you are talking about. It would help set the bar
for
weight.
