  We thought of this also, and it seems maybe to be a better idea than the
stainless line we're also exploring.

  The problem we have with this is in taking off the cowling and it's
associated cable hook up to the top of the gascolator. I have a similar oil
door ring already and it works great.  Maybe a permanent cable from the
cockpit like some certified planes have, but then the problem is how to
catch the drained gas and prevent spills on asphalt or anywhere in
California (GRIN).

  For all builders who haven't gotten to this stage, cure this problem before
finishing your Legacy, and you will not have the problem I do now.  It was
one of those items we wanted to address that just simply was overlooked and
not properly addressed early enough.

[ my gascolator is in the wrong place, requiring a new scrod and other "vibration" issues, but is reachable.

the other "over site" I had was the cyl drain "sniffle" valve drained inside the the cowl, not outside... not a good place
for extra priming fuel to go..
