The problem we have with this is in taking off the cowling and it's associated cable hook up to the top of the gascolator. I have a similar oil door ring already and it works great. Maybe a permanent cable from the cockpit like some certified planes have, but then the problem is how to catch the drained gas and prevent spills on asphalt or anywhere in California (GRIN). For all builders who haven't gotten to this stage, cure this problem before finishing your Legacy, and you will not have the problem I do now. It was one of those items we wanted to address that just simply was overlooked and not properly addressed early enough. Ron [ my gascolator is in the wrong place, requiring a new scrod and other "vibration" issues, but is reachable. http://rob.com/lancair/2002.11/25egt.jpg the other "over site" I had was the cyl drain "sniffle" valve drained inside the the cowl, not outside... not a good place for extra priming fuel to go.. http://rob.com/lancair/2003.01/7drip.jpg -Rob ]
