I appreciate your input but most important, dicussions like this and pictures will benefit those builders who have yet to build the cowling. My mistakes are pretty obvious and the bandage fix I tried isn't cutting it. I'll redo those ramps this summer when it is warmer using the technique you described. I'll add a stiffening piece of some kind also. George
