Olsen In-Reply-To: X-Original-Message-Id: Content-Transfer-Encoding: 7bit X-Mailer: Apple Mail (2.551) To Everyone, Where are our businessman heads? Raises are really great. Why not give everyone a raise? I haven't heard where the money is coming from. Who are we going to recommend to take the pay cuts? I haven't talked to anyone at Lancair that wasn't a help to me. Someone has to make up for the raises. How much extra will the company produce if everyone gets raises? Not enough! Giving everyone a raise is not the way to run a company. If on the other hand, an on-line documentation system were installed, more planes may not be sold but at least the documents could be sold and a subscription charged to keep up to date. Even non builders could buy the plans at a higher price, some of which could be applied to the aircraft purchase. Try giving our new owner ideas like this. Not that this one is the best but it at least starts to show how it is being paid for. An on-line ordering system is another good idea but will cost a decent amount of money. Maybe more part sales and less(future) labor could pay for this. So guys, lets give Mr. Bartels, our new owner, and ourselves a break. Lets not shoot ourselves in the foot testing our new gun. Joseph will need a while to see how the company is currently running and what he can do to improve it. Lets give him some ideas that will make the whole company and not just a few people better off. Sincerely, Lorn H. Olsen PS. I think that Vern should get a raise too. -- Lorn H. 'Feathers' Olsen, MAA, DynaComm, Corp. 248-478-4301, mailto:lorn@dynacomm.ws LNC2, O-320-D1F, N31161, Y47, SE Michigan
