Someone just mentioned in their post that their vertical stabilizer was taller than the rudder. Hard to believe these Lanciars don't fit perfectly. ha Here is a pic of some foam on top of my rudder. Of course this also serves to increase my crosswind component by 2 knots. I will glass over it eventually.
Also, note an error in the manual, one of many. Page 8-24 shows the rudder hinges at a 90 degree angle to the spar, also the distances to the hinges vary by 1". So this is geometrically impossible, thanks again guys. I calculate this to be about 4 degrees off of perpendicular, average it between top and bottom. Hope this helps somebody.
