Woohoo! Just
got my cylinders back from Lycon! Man, they are frickin'
bee-yoo-tee-full! Ported & polished intakes & exhausts.
Polished domes. All heads flow balanced. Heads grit-blasted and
alodined. Cylinders stripped & repainted. New exhaust
valves (triple-ground), guides & seats. Intake valves
triple-ground. All valves & seats lapped. Cylinder assemblies
pressure checked. New 10:1 pop-up pistons.
Lycon does really
nice work. Even my A&P, who overhauls/rebuilds several engines a
month, was impressed. Lycon says the new set-up is good for 20 hp easy,
probably more. You 360 drivers better watch out! (Larry Henney has already
called me out!) Here are some pix...
