Hello Charles,

The length of the pigtails depends on where you mount the controller box.
The controller is made to be mounted in the engine compartment and can
handle the heat and vibration. I mounted mine on the firewall. Scott's
solution of mounting it on the engine mount will work fine also. I did NOT
use the CHT option, like Scott sez, you probably don't need it. When they
shipped my unit, they sent a controller that was configured for the CHT
option. Without the CHT input, it would quit after about 10 minutes. They
sent me another controller (still the wrong one) and it did the same thing.
Finally, they checked the serial numbers and figured out that they sent the
wrong controller. You can't tell other than by the serial numbers. Other
than that little problem,  mine has worked perfectly for 400 hours.

I second Scott's comment about the Lasar folks being very helpful. Just make
sure that you get the correct controller depending on whether you plan on
using the CHT option or not.  Here's a picture of my installation.
