One thing I forgot:

To check for leaks around your fuel filler (they typically occur around the
O-ring on the shaft), just build a little circular dam out of clay or putty
on top of the wing, and fill it with water to cover the filler cap area.
Any bubbles are obvious.

I also placed the test setup plumbing in a tub of water as well to check
for leaks from fittings or valve packing or whatever.
