... Every 4 seconds my hydraulic pump runs for about 1/4 of a second.
Today, after changing the hydraulic switches, we put the gear up and it ran every 4 seconds. I turned the master off and noticed that the gear doors were half down. We then lowered the gear and raised it. The gear started to come up

I send my hydraulic pump back to Oil Dyne to be repaired yesterday. They just called and told me that the spool valve was in backwards and they put in all new seals and adjusted the pressure switches to 1,100 and 550 lbs. This means that the pump has been running from July, 1998 through October, 2002 or over 4 years with the high pressure switch set at about 1,500 lbs and the spool valve being in backwards. I think that pressure gauges should be put in all of our planes.
Oil Dyne tells me that I will be charged about 1 hour labor or under $100 for the whole repair. I am glad that Lancair picked them as a supplier.
Thanks for all of the help and phone calls to resolve my problem.
