It is tragic when anyone dies. Trust me, I know. I think Rick was only trying to warn others of
a potential similar problem which could save someone's life - maybe even mine. Personally, I like
to hear any information even if it is an opinion so I can learn from it and make my own opinion. This is not a public forum that goes to thousands of people. It is a private forum that we all
sign up for. It is set up for exchanging information and learning to the benefit of us interested
in our own safety. I learn from every accident and that's why I'm glad to have this private
forum. Give us a little credit. We all have opinions and just cause we state them doesn't mean
they are facts or slander. In my opinion, it's free speech and personally, I want to hear it,
even if I don't agree with it. I can sort that out for myself. Most of all, I can learn from it.
God bless America and the men who died to give us free speech.

P.S. I don't know Rick, but I'll bet he's just as sad as the rest of us when a fellow aviator
dies. Which is why he cares enough to maybe prevent that from happening again.
You are correct, I took it upon myself to report this accident to people I care about, pilots and passengers. The information I got was public information and nothing more. My self interest is very clear, safety is number one.
