The rudder has a threaded tube at the bottom that is safetied to the fiberglass. Cut the safety and unscrew the tube. retain the washer - it is important. Then, lift the rudder about 1 inch and move it aft off the pivots.
Re-install is the reverse - hang the rudder on the pivots, put a washer on the protruding bottom bolt and screw on the tube. Make sure you safety the tube. Make sure you use a washer to protect from a rudder/ground strike from driving out the bushing in the tail post.
