I have stayed in a private home since 1984 (every year but 1989). I feel that this is the only way to go. I pay $40.00 per night, which includes coffee, rolls and/or cereal in the morning. I happened to luck out on location which is 2 blocks from Basler's (FBO). I simply walk the 2 blocks and pick up the school buss shuttle around the field to the North Forty entrance. The contact is the Housing Hotline (number in Sport Aviation or web site). They open for business on Feb. 1, I think. It has been many years since I last contacted them. Also, the place I stay only has myself and one other regular, so for 1 or 2 of you, I may be able to arrange a room for you. If they don't have room, they have helped me find place for friends in years past. Feel free to call or e-mail me. Ps: My idea of camping is POOR room service & black & white TV.
