Johnson, MD" : Bill: Yes, when I changed to the Goodyears, I had to shave about a 1/4inch from part of the gear door flange on the fuselage to get the tire in. Well worth it though, as the tread life is at least double that of those other tires you have. Of interest, I talked to the Goodyear rep at SunNFun about the new Goodyear III's they are now selling in place of the II's. He said that the newer tires should be the same size, but to double check ANY new tires you put on, because the tolerance in most dimensions WITHIN THE SAME TIRE SERIES is up to 1/4in in any measurement! I now always do a retract test any time I change tires, even if just replacing with the same items... Has anyone done this without having to enlarge the tire opening in the fuselage? Was there any problem with the fit of the one piece gear doors?.<<<
