With the HS and left VS skin together with ribs and spars bonded in place and
the right VS skin fitted, a couple of observations...

The fast build rudder when closed out, was thicker all along the leading edge
than the plans indicated. The VS main spar, made according to the plans turned
out to nearly 2" too short as well as too narrow along its entire length. The
VS stub spar and all 3 ribs, when made as per plan, were either too long, too
short, too thick, too thin, or a combination of each!

btw, mark precisely the location of the VS comm antenna cable as it runs up
along the forward HS bulkhead. When you get around to drilling out the pop
rivets which hold the VS skin in place, it would be very easy to drill through
that cable.
