Larry,

The fly-in is a lot of fun and if you pick the most interesting route
(Monument Valley and southern Utah---Sedona, AZ---Sierra---N.CA coast and
return via Jackson Hole---Gunnison, CO) the scenery is amazing.  If you
decide to fly out, you would be welcome to stay a night with us.  We live
across the street from the Placerville, CA airport (PVF) and plan to fly up
Friday morning.

We are from Texas too.  To be charitable, the BBQ alone is not worth the
trip.  You can get it down and probably keep it down, but it would not pass
for BBQ in Texas.
