The airflow should pretty much match the angle that the side of the aileron makes with the hinge line. If you are interested in any angle of the air flow, it should be with respect to the main spar, not the trailing edge. There are no dumb questions.

Remember that the wing is tapered.  The airflow should pretty much match the angle that the side of the aileron makes with the hinge line.  If you are interested in any angle of the air flow, it should be with respect to the main spar, not the trailing edge.
