Must be the pixies that are reported to reside in and around Sedona. Bet you didn't get much chance to marvel at the carrier landing aspects of their airport in the sky. I went there several years ago to visit a fellow Lancair builder (who has since moved further south - maybe due to all the strange folk who people the approach road to the airport any time the sun sets, or rises, or whatever) and, landing on my wheels (I can't hear the siren's wail) found it to be breathtakingly beautiful.
