No problem for you. Might make it harder to sell if that time ever comes.
I have tought many CFI students. Invariably, one of their concerns before
they begin is the trouble they will have flying from the right seat and
working throttles, etc. with their left hand. Afterall, up to this point,
they have spent hundreds of hours doing it the other way. Once they get in
the right seat and start flying, it usually takes not more than an hour or
two before they're completely comfortable flying from the right seat. It's
never really been a factor. Same with folks checking out in an airplane with
a stick. They're worried that they've never flown a stick. Usually takes
about 2 minutes in the cockpit before that concern is layed to rest. My
suggestion to you is to spend an hour or two flying from the left seat of a
Lancair and then make your decision. My guess is that once you spend a
little time in the left seat, you'll be as comfortable there as in the
right. Let us know how it works out for you.
