I am going to start mine in another week and have talked to several others about any issues. I spoke to Mark Mahkne at Lancair and he told me about the mod they came up with. Rick Shrameck helped another builder with a prototype and it worked fine. http://www.lancairlegacy.com/tips_canopy_mod.html Lancair is going to be sending these out when they do a production run to the Legacy builders. Mark said that the canopy can be positioned and bonded with the gas struts attached later after the new hinge piece comes. Best, Don
