Take an approximate rectangle piece of aluminum the
height of the NACA duct opening, give it a 120 degree bend, install two blind
nuts on it and attach it with round head machine screws to the back side of the
surface skin just aft of the NACA opening with the 30 degree bend forward into
the breeze. This can be removed in winter times when you do not need it
and installed for hot weather flying. I havn't noticed any perceptible
speed differences and it does make a difference.
