I'm a former military brat (father was regular Airforce). I have AUTO
insurance through USAA and I will now look into aircraft insurance with them.
I believe my sister and her husband have USAA insurance by association with
my father. The point is: children, spouses, and children's spouses may
qualify (well, for auto insurance, at least).

USAA is probably the best insurance company out there, they may be a little
higher than other companies but industry wide they are well known and claims
are based on "honor" with no hassles involved. Only problem for those not
previous military is ... it's ONLY for military active, reserve or retired.
One of the additional benefits of serving our country.
