Surely, you mean 1996, not 1966.  My quoted renewal rate for my 320 from
Avemco is similar to yours.  Coverage is nearly identical.  My pilot
qualifications and experience are not up to yours which probably accounts
for the difference in the premium.  Mine is $1716.
I have decided that the hull insurance (none flight)  is unreasonably
expensive and have decided to eliminate it.  This leaves  me liability and
medical payments for a total of $690.
