I wired my gear system slightly different from your description as follows.

Battery to master relay, to 50 amp breaker. ( not main bus)  Actuate switch
power off the load side of the breaker to kill the relays when you trip the
breaker.

I wired the indicator lights off the main bus to give me gear indication even
with the breaker tripped.
