Tom,

At 1318 pounds empty, it does seem a bit heavy.  You don't mention whether it
is painted or not, or whether you have the MKII tail and/or the extended
engine mount.

My 320 weighed 1160 (CG 21.3) at certification in primer, no interior, no
paint.
It weighed 1183 (CG 22.5) at 1st annual, no paint.
It weighed 1202 (CG22.3) after paint. The paint was a white urethane
automotive with the trim color including a black undercoat, 2 color
undercoats, 2 color coats(2 pts BASF "Extreme Rainbow") and finally, 3 clear
coats.  Note the empty wt. forward CG and I am using a Hartzell constant speed
prop, small tail.

Arnie Christen's 360 weighed 1087 (CG 24.1) at certification in primer, no
interior, no paint.
It weighed 1168 (CG 24.6) after paint and interior. Note the more rearward
empty wt. CG, he is using the MT 3-blade constant speed prop and also the
small tail.
