Just wanted to pass along my experience with Fairchild when I tried to order
a sample Livelock fastener set this morning.
   I called three times, asked for sales and got dumped on indefinite hold-
nobody ever answered.  The fourth time the operator assured that someone
picked up the phone.  The person I spoke to could not answer a single
question I asked him, repeatedly insisting that he wasn't an engineer.  I
then asked if I could just order a sample set to look at based on the stock
numbers Brent provided. He couldn't even give me a price. He asked what
company I was with and I told him that I was just calling on my own behalf.
He then said he had three customers there and would have to call me back.
Somehow I wasn't surprised when I didn't hear back from him.
   I don't care how good Livelocks are, I don't do business with companies
that treat customers like this.  Does anyone have an alternate source for
Livelocks?  If not, I probably won't be using them unless Lancair makes a
bulk order and offers them to us.
