It consistantly turned on when keying the COM radio that is connected to the antenna in the tail. Very disconcerting! I have corrected the problem by wrapping the entire unit in aluminum foil and grounding the foil to the plane ground. The remote control unit on the panel is hooked up and can be used to turn off any inadvertent firings. Although, Iv'e had no problem since doing the sheilding, my advise is buy the better unit.
