Hello Gary, I put cap strips on mine AND bonded with hysol. Remember that
it's the bottom skin you're attaching. Just think about the weight of all
that fuel trying to seperate the skin at a few G's. What advantage would
using flox produce? Hysol is stronger and is fuel proof as well. Just be
sure that you've planned the operation well and have plenty of help
available on closeout day. I had some helpers mixing hysol and a few more
applying it to the cap strips and skin. We even ran through a "dry" closeout
for practice. Worked out well (no leaks and the skin's still attached). With
enough people, you shouldn't be rushed because of cure time.
