To: lancair.list@olsusa.com MIME-Version: 1.0 Content-Type: text/plain; charset="US-ASCII" Content-Transfer-Encoding: 7bit X-Mailing-List: lancair.list@olsusa.com Reply-To: lancair.list@olsusa.com <<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<--->>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> << Lancair Builders' Mail List >> <<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<--->>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> >> Gentlemen, I have a SFS system EFIS in a IVP which is experiencing errors in OAT readings. The reading at FL 220 was about 34 F when really it was probably some 30 - 40 degrees cooler than that. Having said this, the OAT reading on the ground seems normal. The OAT probe is located below the middle of the co-pilots window and it has been suggested that heat from the engine may be blowing back to create a tunnel of hotter than ambient air as a result. One note: We just upgraded to the latest release of Sierra Flight Systems software which was supposed to have been a bug fix release. Any ideas??
