Hello fellow lancair builders. I've just recently joined your ranks and have basically remained a lurker... until now. My father and I have just purchased a Lancair 235 kit which is 40-50% done. I've got tons of questions for you guys[ and gal's??]. For starters, what advantage is there of changing up from the old 235 castering nose gear to the new 320 oleo style? If you've done it.. would you do it again? Has anyone flown a 235/320 w/ both set-ups and noted any differences? When we purchased the kit, it came w/ newletters up to the end of 1996, can a person purchase all the letters from then till present? Is there still a newsletter? Where can a person get signed back up w/ it? We received about 3 gallons of epoxy [ safety II] and hardener w/ the a/c. As I understand it, this will now be long past its shelf life. What system is now recommended to replace the since departed Safety II? Is the new epoxy mixed to a different ratio? Can i modify my pump to make it do the necs. ratio? what other significant mods should one plan on doing to convert the 235 to the 320. I'll leave it at that.. I've got lots more questions left in reserve for ya.
Thanks in advance..
