Here's a thought.  Has anyone considered that Lancair is attempting to do what almost everyone else has failed at, make a living in Certified  or Homebuilt General Aviation.  This is no easy task.  Piper, Cessna, Mooney, American General, Grumman, Bellanca, Rutan, Prescott, Glassair,  Bede, and many others have all ceased operations at one time for Financial reasons in recent years.  Some many times. Cirrus is constantly looking for more investment capital.  The odds and history  are clearly stacked against them.  Liability, Insurability and Regulatory issues have certainly not become easier in recent years.
Should we consider asking Lance where the most difficult pressure points in the business are and see if we can help solve them.  We all have a stake in the continued success of Lancair.  They are one tiny company  trying to do a remarkable thing, advance the art of personal flying.  Many have tried, but no one has taken as comprehensive and responsible and visionary approach to the problem as Lance.  It seems to me that we could work together to bring costs down and bring speed, reliability and safety up. Every business owner prioritizes their efforts each day while trying to maintain a balance so that nothing is left unattended.  Good managers  find good people and delegate to them.  Vern and Orin have been very responsive and knowledgeable in the past.  My inclination is to say "How can I help" not sick the Attorney/FAA dogs on them.
Life is short.  I'd like to see the Art of Flying advance in my lifetime. The way I look at it is, Imagine someone trying to do this in    any other country in the world today. Then ask yourself what it is that  is unique to America.  Lawyers, Civil Regulation?  No, we are lucky enough to have the freedom to pioneer.  Lancair is our best hope.
