I'm happy to report that Lancair Avionics is bending over backwords to help
me with my panel problems.  Apparently my trim indicator is defective or of
an ancient design.  Anyway I'm getting a new one.
I am pleased with our SFS/UPS panel.  It is very pretty and will really
"make" the machine when it is complete.  I have had good product support
from Kirk and Mark in avionics, no complaints there.  I have been frustrated
by the glitches I have had, tho, and it shows in my whining.  My owner wants
this thing in the air like, NOW.  "Pressure Drop" sung by Jimmy Cliff keeps
going thru my head.
It's one thing to squawk and grouse with the LML guys and another
alltogether to invite the feds into the fray.  I live in a glass house, too.
And, yes, Lance and I have traded e-mails over this.  Boy, does he hate bad
press.  Well, who doesn't!
Things are moving along very fast now and I plan to test the panel in the
aircraft once more and put the top on the airplane (with Hal Woodruff's
help) on the 23rd.  That will be a huge milestone.
