I hope you're aware of Avemco's new policy regarding flight coverage.
Several Glasair builders who had Avemco builders coverage with promised
first flight coverage, were refused any coverage by Avemco once they were
ready to fly. Avemco stated that they didn't have enough high performance
time. It seems they are not concerned with your flight experience while
you're building and will promise anything to get that low risk premium
dollar. Also Avemco has instituted a new 200k cap on insured hull value for
experimentals.

Needless to say, there's a bunch of Glasair builders who don't like Avemco
right now.
