Lets assume that you have built and maintained your plane with the best possible
practices over a number of years and then you sell. I suspect it would be very
difficult to prove negligence on your part. BUT, what happens if you are sued by
an overly aggressive rabid cur (substitute lawyer if you must)? It is entirely
possible that your cost to defend the frivolous suit could quickly run into six
figures. Can you buy an insurance policy at a reasonable price which will cover
defense costs only?
