To Steve Meyers:

I think Gary Rodgers answered this quite well, however what he had to say
was couched in the jargon of his field of expertise and was a little hard to
follow by those of us who don't know a nanometer from a meter reader.

If I may be so bold as to interpret: by definition, your heaters radiate
infra red (another word for heat). Composite structures are adversely
affected by ultra violet radiation, which is at the other end of the
spectrum (relatively speaking). My guess is that you could lay under your
infra-red heaters all day and not get a bit of a tan (you gotta have
ultra-violet radiation to get that reaction in your skin), ergo, they do not
put out significant amounts of the damaging wavelengths - to your skin or
your airplane.

Relax.
