There is a market but I wouldn't call it ready. My experience is that you should plan on taking a year to sell the plane. >Any thoughts on prefered equipment to enhance the saleability. Make the aircraft IFR with an absolute minimum of equipment. The more equipment that you put into the plane the faster it will sell but you will never recover the cost of additional equipment. NEVER. My aircraft cost $70,000 to build(also 3,000 hours). It is IFR equipped with an autopilot and will fly with the best of the other Lancairs. I bought the plane when it was 8 years old with 250 hours for $70,000 and may someday sell it for the same amount. If I do sell it, I will be looking for another one just exactly like this one. I just love it. My wife has given it a name. She call it Alice, The Other Woman. The plane may be seen at: http://www.dynacomm.ws/~lorn. I have seen dual passenger Lancairs built for a cost of up to $170,000. The money will probably not be recovered at least not as easily on these aircraft. -- Lorn H.
