It is a '91 Fast-Build, and based on what I was told it sounds like there's probably 10-15% of the airframe construction completed. (Fuselage currently inverted, main gear installed, gear doors cut out, etc.) The FB option in '91 included much of what today's FB does, and I believe the biggest differences are that none of the capstips were installed back then and that some of the fuselage work which is done today wasn't back then either. Additionally this kit pre-dates the MKII tail, so it has the original small one. This gentleman's dad passed away in May of this year, the kit was his baby, and now the estate would like to dispose of it. The project resides in the far south suburbs of Chicago and has always been in a heated garage. The pricing is negotiable, naturally, but he would like to get $22,500 for the kit and will credit any broken or damaged parts which must be replaced. Right off the top the canopy falls into that category, and I'm sure an additional allowance would be made for the replacement of all the epoxy and structural adhesive. There are also a few thousand dollars' worth of tools available which they will sell with the kit, pricing to be determined based on just what the buyer would like to pick up along with the kit. If there's anyone out there interested in pursuing this further, please contact me via private email (marvkaye@olsusa.com) and we can start down the path.
