Do Not use this type of cable attachment. I had one fail the cable on my
carb heat where it enters the fitting and my hangermate had two failures of
his mixture cable at the same spot, all at less than 100 hours. First we
thought a sharp edge at the entrance to the fitting was the problem so we
tapered and polished the grip at the entrance- - -broke again.
Our conclusion was, leverage is applied from the pivot point to the entrance
of the cable into the grip when the control is pushed to its limit. The
lever is over 2" with the chuck type cable terminal compared to less than
1/4" with the crude "B Nut" type. I was impressed by the elegance of the
grip type but now I feel much better with the lawnmower look. Steve
