This spreads the twisting over 2 to 3 feet of the nylaflo. At this point, the usual concern is that the exposed brake line is subject to being thrashed about by the wind during takeoffs and landings. I ran the nylaflo thru 1/4 inch ID Tygon tubing all the way from the brake shoe fitting to the parking brake module on the aft side of the firewall. The tygon tubing protects the nylaflo from stones, abrasions and wind induced tortures. After 360 hours, 5 years, 400 takeoffs, 415 landings (bounces count) and numerous test cycles, I have experienced no difficulties. The clear Tygon also allows visual inspection of the brake line.
