It improved the nose landing gear clearance and presented no problems at all. Prior to permanently attaching the hinge assembly, hot glue it into position on the tunnel so you can assure the gear door can fully open without binding against the fuselage area. I dremeled a recess on the interior side of the door edge and recessed the hinge barrel to prevent binding.
