Walter,

My airplane (IV-P) is polished Imron over DuPont primer.  All surfaces are
bonded but there are no static wicks.  I've been in clouds, rain and light
icing as high as FL 270 without observable degradation in the avionics
department.

Imron is a pain, but the results are worth it.  At nearly 200 hours there is
no leading edge abrasion.  Also, if  you intend to polish the finish, try to
do it within 72 hours of application.  After that it gets really hard.

Good luck,

Merrill Smith
