Is it legal or possible to get an instrument rating without ever logging time in
actual IMC, but rather only with hooded or simulator time?
...and just as a comment to the earlier question, a few years ago I did my bienniel
in an "N" numbered single seat ultralight. The instructor stood on the ground with a
radio and watched me do certain maneuvers, then we did our standard ground session,
he signed me off, accepted my money, and I was good for 2 more years. All legal.
