What I personally do is hide the finance charge or cost of money from myself. This saves me(in my own mind) $8,500 per year. My cost are therefore only $15,800 per year. And guess what? That is exactly what my 3 year average costs have been. I purchased my LNC2 therefore it is more expensive for me to have annuals and other fixes done. C-310s along with all other Cessna twins have major AD problems with landing gear, engine mounts and engine exhausts. Be prepared to pay up to $50,000 to correct any one of these ADs. If you are really considering getting a C-310, consider getting it with a partner. This will cut all fixed costs in half. The partner will cut the cost down to(if you still fly it 200 hours per year) $51,425 per year or $36,425 if you only fly it 100 hours per year. Also, if you can use it to generate income, the tax considerations along with depreciation will help defray the cost considerably.
